At Chicago’s East-West University (in the city’s South Loop), we’ll explore the future of Islam and the future of Western Muslims. Why are divisions and differences between Muslim communities a source of strength–and not weakness? How can Islam’s foundational ideas be revisited to empower Muslims to meet the challenges of coming decades? And why are these conversations vital for people of all faiths and perspectives to understand and to appreciate (and to learn from)? Doors open for a reception at 5:30pm, followed by the talk (at 6:00pm) and of course ample time for Q&A. Come through if you can: It promises to be a great evening in a great city!
